About Greensleeves Care

Greensleeves CareWe are a leading not-for-profit care provider in the UK.

We deliver exceptional* 24-hour residential, dementia and nursing care to older people across our 27 care homes in England.

As a charitable organisation, our focus is on providing high-quality care and running a sustainable and thriving family of homes. This means your care fees fund care, not shareholder profits. Any surplus we generate is invested back into our services and used to continually improve the experience of our residents.

Greensleeves Care was born in 1997 to take forward a small family of care homes previously run by the then Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS). Through our history, we have stayed true to a few key principles: we never forget we are guests in our residents’ homes and we consider ourselves to be privileged to share those homes with them. Everyone at Greensleeves Care lives by this ethos. It empowers our residents to influence and drive the decisions that impact their lives.

People matter

We know that recruiting and retaining excellent colleagues is one of the most important elements of maintaining great care. We pay the Real Living Wage, strive for a healthy work-life balance, and we listen to what our teams say. In short, we look after the amazing people that work for us the best way we possibly can. Because we know that if we do, they will look after our residents the best way they can.

Getting the care right

Greensleeves CareOur loving, caring and kind teams deliver the type of care that make the world feel better about getting old. Our homes have excellent staffing ratios to ensure we can provide person-centred care to each and every resident. We strive to maintain and encourage each resident’s independence where possible, with our care teams offering as much or as little support as needed.

Support for families and friends

Greensleeves Care employs an Admiral Nurse (dementia specialist) in partnership with national charity, Dementia UK. Steve Mason provides specialist support and advice to families and friends of our residents about many aspects of dementia care. This is in addition to support and advice he provides to our care homes and staff.

If you would like to speak with Steve about any concerns you may have in relation to changes you have noticed in your loved one as their dementia progresses or another aspect of dementia care, please contact him as per details below.
